Can I recycle the packaging?

The cardboard outer is widely recycled and the polystyrene inner can be recycled at certain recycling plants, but generally not. The gel ice packs can be reused, and lots of our customers use them to chill drinks or picnics, however they not recyclable after use.

We know it's not ideal and we’re mindful of the sustainability of packaging used and sent out to customers. We’re continuously looking at how we can reduce waste as a business, while ensuring food safety and that the meat we send arrives as fresh as possible. 

We are working with our suppliers to come up with a solution that ticks all the boxes as we aim to use packaging that contains recycled materials, as well as packaging that can, where possible, be recycled in order to reduce our impact on the environment.
